As you travel in the car, your guide will provide detailed explanations about the sites you will visit and the history of the area.
Embark on a day tour to visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a remarkable Roman burial site carved into rock in three tiers at a depth of 100 feet. These catacombs date back to the late first and early second century A.D.
Next, visit the Pompey Pillar, a massive granite pillar standing at 27 meters tall. Erected in 297 A.D. in honor of the Roman emperor Diocletian, this pillar is a significant historical landmark.
Continue your journey to the Al Anfushi Tombs, located opposite the entrance of Ras el Tin Palace. This site features five tombs, with two being of particular importance. Discovered in 1901, these tombs date back to the Ptolemaic period around 300 B.C.
Drive to the archaeological area of Mustafa Kamel, which includes four tombs from the Ptolemaic era dating back to the second century B.C. Carved into sub-surface rock, this cemetery is unique due to its engravings, architectural style, and relatively good condition.
While in the Anfoushi district, take the opportunity to enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. You can choose to book a set menu lunch with us or ask your guide for recommendations.

Started with an on time arrival at our location on the Corniche followed by an exceptionally well planned day seeing the highlights in Alexandria. Really knowledgeable about history and answered all our questions at the sites we visited and even sights we didn’t. He took us to places we would have never found in our own and shared very specific details from various scholars and archaeologists. Our Seafood lunch was very tasty and a nice time to relax. Comfortable vehicle and he always found good parking. I will be recommending Tarek to all my friends!
