Our first stop will be the west bank to visit the incredible Edfu temple, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. This temple is the most complete of its kind and gives you a glimpse into ancient Egyptian architecture. You’ll see what every other temple in Egypt would have looked like in its original form.
Next, we’ll head to the Temple of Kom Ombo, perched on high grounds overlooking the Nile. This temple is unique with its double entrance and Coptic liturgies inscribed on the walls. Although the city’s traces are mostly gone, the remains of the waterfront temple are a must-see.
