First our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in the evening, then you will be transferred to St Catherine city with a private car.
Actually St Catherine located 220 km northwest of Sharm el Sheikh. Driving trip from Sharm to Moses Mountain about two hours. Then you will be escorted by Bedouin guide to climb Moses mountain up to reach the holy peak. It takes between two and three hours on foot, and there is optional camel ride till the stair cases. reach the top 2,285 meters which includes about 750 steps , experience the fantastic sunrise at the summit, revered in biblical terms as it is said that God delivered the Ten Commandments to Prophet Moses.
Rise early to watch the sunrise from the top of Mount Sinai. After that you will descent towards St. Catherine Monastery to see the monastery highlights including the biblical area of the Burning Bush , Then proceed for breakfast in restaurant in St Catharine and then journey on to Saint Catherine’s Monastery. Finally transfer back to Sharm at 11.00 am , arrive Sharm at about 13.30, transfer you back to your hotel in Sharm el Sheikh.
Mount Sinai is revered by Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike as the place where Moses received the Ten Commandments. And, according to belief, it was in the valley below that God spoke to him from a burning bush.
Nestled in the shadow of the sacred mountain is the Monastery of St. Catherine (Deir Sant Katreen), where communities of monks have lived almost uninterruptedly since its founding in the sixth century. Before the monastery, there was a chapel on this site, established in the fourth century AD. by the Empress Helena at the place where tradition says that Moses saw the burning bush. This soon became a Place of pilgrimage, and in the sixth century a fortified monastery was added by the Emperor Justinian to protect the monks and pilgrims from raiders. It was not until much ; later that the establishment was dedicated to St. Catherine. She was an early Christian saint who was Martyred in Alexandria in the forth century.

Started with an on time arrival at our location on the Corniche followed by an exceptionally well planned day seeing the highlights in Alexandria. Really knowledgeable about history and answered all our questions at the sites we visited and even sights we didn’t. He took us to places we would have never found in our own and shared very specific details from various scholars and archaeologists. Our Seafood lunch was very tasty and a nice time to relax. Comfortable vehicle and he always found good parking. I will be recommending Tarek to all my friends!
