Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in the evening and transfer you to St. Catherine City to visit the Monastery of St. Catherine, located 220 km northwest of Sharm el Sheikh.
The drive from Sharm to Moses Mountain takes about two hours. Once there, you will be accompanied by a Bedouin guide to climb Moses Mountain and reach the holy peak. The trek on foot takes between two and three hours, with the option of a camel ride to the staircases. Upon reaching the summit at 2,285 meters, which includes about 750 steps, you will witness the breathtaking sunrise, a moment revered in biblical history as the place where God delivered the Ten Commandments to Prophet Moses.
Rise early to watch the sunrise from the top of Mount Sinai, then descend towards St. Catherine Monastery to explore its highlights, including the biblical site of the Burning Bush. Afterward, enjoy breakfast at a restaurant in St. Catherine before continuing to Saint Catherine’s Monastery. Finally, we will transfer you back to Sharm at 11:00 am, arriving around 13:30, and then return you to your hotel in Sharm el Sheikh.

This soon became a Place of pilgrimage, and in the sixth century a fortified monastery was added by the Emperor Justinian to protect the monks and pilgrims from raiders. It was not until much ; later that the establishment was dedicated to St. Catherine. She was an early Christian saint who was Martyred in Alexandria in the forth century.
